Summer is upon us at last. Again. That makes this, what, the third time? I remember that the temperatures were very high sometime in March, and then it snowed. I saw a documentary yesterday about global warming. Some scientists claim that it is not our fault that we have global warming. Well, they could be right, it could just be a natural process, or even the sun, but that doesn't justify what we're doing to our planet. Or what we're planning to do on Mars. the Earth is overpopulated, so scientists are planning to send some of us to Mars. After giving the planet an atmosphere, of course. Dips on staying on Earth! I saw another documentary last night. It was about child slavery. It really makes you think about what you treasure the most, the well-being of our planet or human rights. Yes, I've gone all mushy. Mushy, is that even a word? a
Anyway, my mistress is a bit worried about here future, so I thought I'd lay off her back until she gets back to her usual self. For now I'm a nice girl. But she had better bounce back by the end of the week, because I'm not going to be a nice-"russ"! What's the English word for"russ"? Well, it's a silly tradition, but I like it. You can go all crazy and get away with almost everything, meaning people won't think your insane if you wear the red outfit when you sleep in a roundabout.
Ok, I think she just bounced back to her usual self. I hope so, because I'm about to reveal one of her most treasured secrets. I think it's pathetic. But then again, I think averything about my mistress is pathetic. So, here it goes. My mistress has a crush on a guy. I would say "not just any guy", but he really is just any guy. He talked to her for about two minutes over a year ago, and she still thinks about him. Over a year! She hasn't met him for over a year and she still thinks about him. Now that is what I call pathetic. the strange thing is that they have the same piano teacher.
Well, there you go, my mistress' most treasured secret is out. She has a very trivial life and she knows it. I'm just pointing it out to everyone. The thing about my mistress is that she can't handle changes in her life, especially if it's something nasty. When she found out that her aunt might be heading for a divorce she nearly freaked out. Divorce is a sad thing, but very common, and, in some cases, the best way to resolve problems. My mistress was shocked, even though she knew that they had been arguing for a while. But her family will be in an uproar when they find out. If they divorce, they will be the first couple who split up. My mistress' grandmother has six children, five of them are married. It just seemed unthinkable that any of them would ever divorce. Well, that's life. Though I can't help but think how my mistress would react if her parents decided to split up. My thoughts go to the mother, who, I believe, wouldn't stand a chance if she was forced to be alone. Her parents are going to be six feet under very soon (sad but true), where will she turn when they're gone?
My mistress thinks too much. So do I. It's not good for us. The divorce thing is none of our business, so let's not discuss it any further. The weather is very nice, though none of us likes to be outside. It tires us. So here we are, waiting for the piano man and are soon to begin working on the history assignment. This is going to be a fun day...
